LIVINGSTON, NJ — While Livingston has continually reminded residents about rules for disposing of single-use plastic bags in town, they also recently sent a message noting that the state law will go further than that starting next month, banning the bags in most shops.
In addition, both single-use plastic and paper bags will be banned from grocery stores larger than 2,500 square feet. Instead they may provide or sell only reusable carryout bags (which will cost more).
